The crisis of forming the government in Morocco since tasking Benkirane to form the government to his exemption

After more than five months and a half of tasking the “Justice and Development” party secretary general Mr. Abdelilah Benkirane to form the government by the king, Benkirane could not succeed in finding the proper synthesis to form a coherent government capable of running the Moroccan affairs amid mutual accusations between the party which won the legislative elections and the other parties that expressed their desire to participate in the government. The most prominent of these parties is “The National Rally of Independents” which changed its general secretary after its defeat in the elections coming in the fourth rank. Aziz Akhannouch, an influential businessman and minister of agriculture in the Islamists government in its second version, joined the party. This joining, however, was not that of a member to attract businessmen to the parties; rather he was elected the party’s general secretary in an exceptional conference.
