The last “truce” in Syria: a new attempt of a political harvest of the Russian intervention.

In the aftermath of the Syrian regime and its allies’ control of Aleppo city with an intensive support from the Russian planes, the Russian president announced his initiative to establish a comprehensive ceasefire in Syria and to stat peace talks in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan sponsored by Russia and Turkey with the participation of Iran. Putin has already referred to a Turkish role in facilitating the Syrian regime control of Aleppo as security and media sources talked about a Russian Turkish deal concluded between Putin and Erdogan.
