The dramatic rising of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) and its military arm represented by the People’s Protection Units constituted an important strategic change in the Syrian north. These units, supported by the international coalition warplanes, became the main player depended upon in fighting “ISIS” let alone the attempts to float its political model represented by “Syria Democratic Forces” as it is considered a “comprehensive” political cover that refutes the opponents claims concerning the existence of certain political ethnic agendas.
