The doctrine issue was secondary in the discussions in Algeria whether by the educated or the political officials as the discussions focused on economic and political reform and the issues of democratic stumbling and issues of development. However, it seems that Algeria could not stay immune to doctrinal struggle happening currently in the Middle East region despite its history that is known for the compromise of religious constituents inside the republic.
